29 April 17:00-20:30SEB

A techy evening with real stories, real code

Ever tried coding in Rust? Now’s your chance. At this event, you will not only get hands-on with Rust, a powerful systems programming language (think C++ but modern, fast and safe), but also meet a team who actually uses it to build real-world products, like currency trading in chatbot form. Yep, that’s a thing. 🤩

Join us at SEB for an evening full of insights, hands-on coding, and good vibes. You will meet Nathalie, Emilia and Alva who are part of a small and agile tech team inside one of Sweden’s biggest banks. From being first in their department to move to the cloud, to building complex financial tools in creative ways. They will take us behind the scenes of what it’s like to innovate within a massive organisation. We will also hear from Emelie at SEB Embedded, she has experience working with innovation at an organizational level.

And yes, we will be coding together in Rust! You will team up and take on a short but exciting coding challenge, focused on learning by doing, thinking differently, and supporting each other. Leave with new insights and maybe a new language to love.

💁🏽‍♀️ Who is this for?

This event is designed for developers. Having some experience with C or C++ can be helpful, but JavaScript or TypeScript backgrounds also work well.

🥂 What else?
The evening will, of course, also include some food, drinks, and the chance to connect with likeminded women in tech.

You will meet...

Nathalie Olsson
Solution Developer

Emilia Rieschel
Solution Developer

Alva Rehnberg

Emelie Eriksson
Head of SEB Embedded
